IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

To our dear customers and friends:

We took a chance starting our creamery in 2022, unsure where things would lead. Gratefully, the response was humbling and overwhelming; and over the last three seasons, you, our dear customers, have allowed us to create a beautiful, vibrant business.

Sadly, the future of our building is in a constant state of uncertainty, leaving us unable to plan for the next season. We’ve also come to realize it cannot accommodate our needed growth, nor allow us to foster the environment we want for our staff and customers. And with no other suitable locations currently available, we have made the heartbreaking decision to close our shop.

We know this news will come with shock and sadness to many; and we recognize the void it will leave in our beautiful community. We grieve this.

While we are currently considering other options for making our ice cream available, at the end of the day, the soulfulness of our business came from the joy of personally engaging with you and sharing our heart-felt creations face-to-face. We will announce any new changes or developments should they arise. And, in the future, should a new, suitable location make itself available, maybe a new version of our creamery can be reimagined.

We are taking time now to pause, listen, grieve, reflect, and allow a space for change. While we may no longer have our shop, we are still here and hope we can find other ways to use our gifts in supporting the spirit of belonging and community here in Wayne County.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for supporting our creamery and for helping us feel a part of our community. It has been a joy and a pleasure.

With love and gratitude,
Joseph & A.C. - “the ice cream guys”

Our Story

We met in 2009 through our work as professional genealogists at Ancestry. For a long time, we were just work friends and colleagues. It wasn’t until 2019 when we actually became closer friends, and eventually fell in love! We married in May 2021, and not long after, set out to find a new place to settle down and call home. That is when the stars aligned and we found a perfect little one-acre farm in Wayne County, Utah!

Building a regenerative farm has felt like a calling. It’s our way of giving back to the sacred lands we are privileged to be a part of and call home. Then, seeing a need for really good ice cream in the area, we thought it made sense to fill that void and use our farm as great way to support that endeavor!

Our Family

As a family, we love spending time outdoors, hiking and exploring the many incredible places in south-central Utah! Our amazing three kids also love spending time at the farm, playing games, and exploring the high desert mountains and plateaus with us. Then, we can’t forget to mention our sweet, happy little cockapoo, Hampton! He loves joining us for any adventure possible and running around the farm and making friends with all other people and animals!

About Joseph

I was raised on a dairy farm in western Wyoming not far from Jackson and Grand Teton National Park. I have spent most of my adult life working as a professional genealogist (having worked 15 years at Ancestry), and currently operate a private practice offering both genealogical research and wellness coaching centered on Ancestral Health & Wellness. In 2015, while living in Wyoming, I worked with my parents to switch our dairy farm from conventional to regenerative and organic practices. Then, we introduced ice cream as a direct farm-to-consumer product and it completely transformed our farm in every way! In fact, our ice cream was featured in Food & Wine magazine! So, I’m passionate about small farms, local, sustainable food systems, and making ice cream! It’s a privilege to offer good ice cream and regenerative farming practices here in Wayne County, Utah.

About A.C.

I was raised in the surrounding suburbs of Salt Lake City. Growing up, I always expected to one day live in a large city like San Francisco or New York City. I never thought I'd end up in a small rural area like Wayne County, Utah, but here I am and I love it! (My parents are still a little shocked we moved here!) I am a technology geek, constantly discovering new software, website, and apps. I have spent a good portion of my career as a product manager and ux designer (aka - I make software, apps, and websites user-friendly and beautiful). I love working with my clients and creating great experiences for their users. During these last few years I have regained my love of digging in the dirt as I once did as a kid. I am grateful to constantly learn the incredible value and benefits of regenerating our lands to create healthy soil and food.
FYI, our wedding photographers (Kyle Loves Tori Photography) were AMAZING! Check them out!
